The maximum rarity a modifier can have is the rarity of its part.
However, there are cases where a modifier gives a negative effect along with a stronger buff. In general, modifiers will grant the weapon or the user buffs. For a few seconds, the player is surrounded by a constant flurry of slashes that deals rapid tick damage and blocks projectiles, as well as firing weak bullets in random directions to hit enemies.The size of gust varies depending on charging. Enemies close together might get hit by each other's lightning as well as their own, amounting to serious damage. After a long windup, lightning will strike, dealing 80 damage to each targeted enemy. The order of the elements does not affect the wrath. Depending on the combination of elements, god's wrath has different effects. It can be activated by using the extra button.Įach part has one of three elements, which are picked randomly every time (e.g., it is possible to find two identical parts with different element). It can only be charged by attacking enemies and it persists between floors. On the other hand, the handle, guard and arrow are sub parts that can also provide supporting effects, other than their modifiers.
Not only may they have modifiers, but they also determine the basic statistics of the weapon, and their attack style. Modifiers can be reforged and replaced with other modifiers for a cost that increases every time it is done Modifier upgrades will be successful every time.
When upgrading parts, the chance for the upgrade to be successful decreases each level or rarity, starting at 100% for upgrading Grey (see the Level Design heading for exact values). Parts and modifiers can also be upgraded up to Orange rarity. They are guaranteed to start with a legendary modifier, which cannot be achieved by any other means. The rarest – Legendary – can only be found in boss chests. Parts also change the appearance of the weapon. A part of White rarity does not have any modifiers, while better parts have one more modifier each.
Swords are made of grip, guard and bladeĮach part has an element and some modifiers.Bows are made of limb, arrow and string.Staffs are made of shaft, handle and core.It is impossible to switch weapon types once the game has started, as the starter room will close after the player completes the first enemy room and encounters the first potential sacred weapon drop. Once the player has selected a starter sacred weapon in the first room, they will only encounter parts of this type of weapon throughout the rest of the game. Instead of normal weapons, shops and chests will contain sacred weapons.
